\8phone(people)[\!MEMO(⊗people⊗)(Les Earnest)(Telephone Charges);
Attached are recent telephone charges for your line. Please attempt
to identify all calls by marking business calls as "AI-<your
initials>" and personal calls as "P-<initials>" and return to
Queenie, with reimbursement if appropriate.

For future personal calls, we request that you place them through the
outside operator and have them billed directly to your home phone.
While this costs a bit more than a straight station call, it
substantially reduces the local administrative hassle, and we need
all the help we can get.

There are a substantial number of message unit charges appearing on
our bills for calls that would have been free had they been dialed on
the tie lines. Any such on your line are marked below with "*". We
ask your help in minimizing mistakes.

If you are uncertain about what line to use, the second page of the
Faculty/Staff telephone directory lists tie lines for all nearby
exchanges. If you have trouble with malfunctioning tie lines, please
report it promptly to Hersche Allen.

Thanks for your help.\.
